Literary Society of North Okanagan 15th Annual Spelling Bee

The Literacy Society’s annual Spelling Bee 2024 edition, which took place on October 16th with the masters of ceremony Brian Martin and Rebecca Barton of Beach Radio, was another successful event.   The Society’s executive director Debbie Nurse chaired the event and described the wonderful work done by volunteers in the various program.  The theme employed, as expressed by Brian and Rebecca and the team from TKH Dance during their entertaining intermission performance, flowed from the Barbie movie.  CFUW Vernon’s participants shared a table with those from the Men’s Shed for a most enjoyable event, which was made even more enjoyable on learning that our table reached third place (out of approximately 20 tables)!

A shout-out to the wonderful people at the Literacy Society and all the sponsors for a terrific happening!  https://www.literacysociety.ca/
